![]() Cheers.GTA 5 Mobile - Play Your Favorite Game Today! Hope this answer albeit being late was helpful. (Completely upto you) but this is just incase the game start running normally and starts to have a decrease in FPS and then becoming completely unplayable due to thermal throttling. Please do remember that although during bootcamp you will be able to play games, but at the same time, if you do, your PC might start heating up, you might need to use Mac Fan Control and also if possible at all get an EGPU box with a GPU installed. Its available for Mac and Windows alike but at the same time you should have a copy of the game you want on Steam or Origin or. Being a little costly 80$ you get a full fledged virtual machine edition of Windows 10 (no need to activate windows if you want to just play games).Īnother option is GeForce Now, the program is in Beta and has free access in USA and Europe, this program allows you to stream games in their full resolutions, yes you can actually play them with no performance loss and no problems to your laptop at all. Option two is using parallels, now parallels again you can find various tutorials as to how to use it, and where to download it. Hi, I admit the reply being too late to your case, but in my eyes you have a few options, option one is using Bootcamp via an external SSD or hard drive, in order to do so, you can easily find a tutorial with 9 to 5 Mac and using that install the bootcamp on the external drive and then use windows as a second nature. So really, I'd advise getting a proper gaming computer. I just don't think you're going to get a good performance on a lot of games.Ģ017 mbp only runs an AMD Radeon Pro 450 which is much better. It ran the hd too hard, and I noticed it would get pretty warm after awhile, because externals don't have fans like an internal gets.Įxternals really aren't MEANT to be used to run an os, which requires constantly read-writing when you use the computer.Īs well, most macbook pros actually DON'T have a video card capable of handling a lot of games.Ģ015 mbp runs an Intel Iris Graphics 6100, which rates just above a GTX 460m. I ran a mac completely off an external for awhile and didn't like it. At the same time, it's nice to have a computer that's completely dedicated to the os. With Mac, you're paying for software, and I do love the OS. After all, inside, it's all the same hardware. I run a lot of games off my imac and it runs them well. That said, imo your BEST option is to get a PC for gaming. ![]() That could be a plus for running the OS and the game off the external. Usb3 will give you up to around 5gigbits/second, thunderbolt 2 will give you 20, thunderbolt 3 will give 40. ![]() Earlier mbps would have a Thunderbolt 2, which is still twice as fast as usb3, but not as fast as T3. Rather than trying to run from a usb3 hd, I'd advise getting a thunderbolt 3 enabled hd rather than usb3, but ONLY if your mbp is 2015 or later. So, I kinda like to think I know a little about this. I've also opened and replaced parts on both PC and Mac, so I'm familiar with what's inside. I also have experience with the 2015 MacBookPro because I bought one for my son. I've used windows 7,8 and 10 through bootcamp on both iMacs. I've used Macs since 2006, and have used every version since 10.5. ![]()
